Welcome to the 2023-24 Orono Youth Hockey Registration with Orono Youth Hockey Association

REGISTRATION FOR 10U/Squirts, 12U/Peewees & Bantams has closed. Any registrations received at these levels will incur a $100.00 late fee and are subject to team availability. Please email registration@oronohockey.org for any questions. 

On the following pages, you will be able to complete the registration process for all of your hockey players. Please refer to the help links for additional help along the way.  To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or checking account information available.

2023-24 Registration Process:
Step 1 – Register each player/coach online with USA Hockey
Step 2 – Register each player/coach online with OYHA by July 31st  (Squirt/Peewee/Bantam/10U/12U/15U only)
Step 3 – You will receive confirmation email from OYHA website confirming registration
Step 4 – Wait for further communication about try-outs/team placement in the coming months

MANDATORY for the 2023-2024 Season:

ALL PLAYERS AND COACHES WILL REGISTER ONLINE!  SEE COACHES SECTION ON THE OYHA WEBSITE FOR MORE INFO ON REGISTERING AS A COACH.   

USA Hockey Registration: 
All players and coaches will register first with USA Hockey.  While completing your OYHA on-line registration, you will be directed to USA Hockey's registration page to first complete and pay the USA/MN Hockey registration portion, then back to the OYHA site for completion. 

The USA Hockey season goes from May 1 through April 30 of each year.

Players who have played this summer may have already registered for the 2023-2024 season.  If you have already registered with USA Hockey, you will simply need your PLAYER’S USA Hockey confirmation number to complete your OYHA registration.

USA Hockey Online registration for the 2023-2024 Season.

For USA Hockey online registration:

1. Go to the USA Hockey Website or www.usahockey.com
2. Choose member type Ice Player/Coach.
3. You must be 18 years of age to process a registration. Check the box that acknowledges that YOU are 18 or older.
4. Select the correct season:  2023-2024.
5. Follow the prompts...fill in all data correctly.
6. Process payment – Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express (credit or debit card). A Visa gift card will also work.
7. Each participant age 7 and older will pay the USA Hockey based on age. There will also be an additional MN Hockey Affiliation fee.  Regardless of birth year, the registration must be completed to get the USA Hockey confirmation number.  Once you have registered all players and coaches with USA Hockey, and have your confirmation pages, please return to the OYHA registration site to log in and register.

IMPORTANT

MN Hockey has revised the Residency policy.  Please visit this MN Hockey website page for complete details on the new 'Participation Rule'.  

Every registration will be verified before being processed. If it is found that a player is registered using a fraudulent address or fraudulent enrolled school listed, the player will not be allowed to play OYHA Hockey and all ice fees and registration fees will be forfeited.   A player, whose primary residence IS NOT located in School District #278, and would like to play for OYHA Hockey, may request a waiver from the hockey association that is located in the school district in which the player resides.

NEW PLAYER Registration ONLY:
A digital copy of the player’s state or county-issued birth certificate must be provided for the registration to be processed. 
Birth Certificate digital copies and school attendance verifications for waivers, as well as other documentation, can be emailed to: registration@oronohockey.org
